Margot says Fitted for Work is exactly what she was looking for. “I wanted to volunteer with a well run, professional organisation utilising my office management skills and recruitment experience. Helping women was a bonus.”

She values the ability to assist women experiencing disadvantage with their needs. “Volunteering with the organisation is very worthwhile as a personal development experience and very rewarding. The autonomy to add value has been great and the social aspect of interacting with other like-minded volunteers has been lovely.”

As a long-term volunteer, you’d think nothing would surprise Margot. “It never ceases to amaze me, that just when you think you have seen or heard it all, another exceptional woman or exceptional personal situation materialises where we need to help.  No day is the same in terms of how we can help.”

Margot volunteers in the Boutique dressing service and conducts Conversations with a Purpose as well as interview mentoring with the Yarra Trams Project.
