We are overjoyed to announce that Fitted for Work has been honoured with the Victorian Telstra Business Award for the Accelerating Women category. This prestigious award is a testament to our relentless efforts and, more importantly, a tribute to our remarkable clients who have overcome significant barriers to employment and are now on the path to a brighter future.

At Fitted for Work, we support women and gender diverse individuals facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Our clients often come to us dealing with unemployment, marginalisation, homelessness, domestic or family violence, mental health issues, and discrimination. Despite being told they are not good enough or capable, they walk through our doors with courage and hope for a better tomorrow.

Our mission goes beyond providing professional clothing and job-readiness services. We aim to restore dignity, belief, and possibility for those who have faced disadvantage. Since 2005, we have proudly supported over 45,000 women in rebuilding their lives and futures. Our services, including professional outfitting, resume feedback, and interview practice, equip women with the skills and confidence needed to secure sustainable employment and thrive in their careers.

This Telstra Business Award highlights the incredible strength of our clients—the single mother who escaped violence to provide for her children, the jobseeker who overcame homelessness to find meaningful work, and the older woman who faced ageism yet re-entered the workforce with confidence.

As we approach our 20th anniversary in 2025, we are excited to share these powerful stories of transformation. These women represent hope and resilience, breaking through barriers to reclaim their futures.

Thank you for celebrating this important milestone with us and recognizing the voices of women overcoming disadvantage across Australia.
