Evaluating Our Impact: Independent Economic Report

At Fitted for Work, we help women and gender-diverse jobseekers to get work, keep work, and navigate their world of work. We believe in the transformative power of employment and its ability to create positive change in the lives of individuals and their communities.

In late 2024, we took a significant step to measure the impact of our services by commissioning an independent economic impact report. This comprehensive report, ‘20 years of Fitted for Work helping drive employment success,’ released in 2025 in collaboration with Mandala, a team of esteemed independent economists, provides an in-depth evaluation of the direct benefits of Fitted for Work’s programs and services.

The report highlights the tangible outcomes of our efforts, including increased employment rates, improved financial stability, and enhanced well-being for the women we support. It also underscores the broader economic benefits, such as reduced reliance on social services and increased contributions to the economy.

On this page, you will find a link to view the full report, key highlights and insights, and media coverage that features our work. We invite you to explore the findings and see how Fitted for Work is making a meaningful difference. Together, we are empowering women to achieve economic independence and build a brighter future.

On 19 March 2025, we launched Economic Impact Report with the Fitted for Work community.

Fitted for Work Ambassador Jo Stanley moderated an expert panel comprised of Wendy Stops (Board Chair), Amit Singh (Managing Partner, Mandala), and Julie Reilly OAM (CEO, Australians Investing in Women). The panel discussed the economic landscape for women in Australia, the impact of services like Fitted for Work, and what more can be done to bolster the financial independence of women and communities.
