Rana and Rasha were first introduced to Fitted for Work at a Personal Outfitting, Interview Preparation and Body Language Workshop in Parramatta, in June 2018. They joined the Fitted for Work Volunteer team to gain some hands on experience and since they provided these interviews have both successfully found work!
Volunteering with Fitted for Work can be a great stepping stone for clients on their journey into employment. It provides opportunities to gain work experience and soft skills and can also provide clients with referees to put on their resume.

“My volunteer position at Fitted for Work is Sorting and Conscious Closet Assistant. And I have been volunteering in the Parramatta office for 3 months.
I help with the setting up and breaking down of the conscious closet sale as well as sorting donations into their correct categories, doing general office tasks and helping out Candice whenever I can.
Everything about Fitted for Work is amazing. Working with Candice is very nice. She is a beautiful and kind person and I am learning a lot from her and from all the other ladies here. It is a wonderful environment to be in.”

“I have been volunteering for 3 months at Fitted for Work. I volunteer in the sorting room and for the sales.
I help Candice and the other Volunteers sort donations for the dressing room or for the market. Tagging the items so they hang correctly and make sure things are steamed to look professional.
I help set up for the sales and help shoppers during the sale find items that they like and would want to try on.
I love volunteering at Fitted for Work, it gives me experience in sales and working with a team. It helps my English to be better and it helps me to be a part of the Australian Community. I have met some kind people and have made many new friendships.”
