The journey from experiencing hardship to securing a job in COVID-19
After a 25-year career as a Senior Social Worker, Kiera left a domestic violence situation which affected her job. For the first time in her life, she was unemployed as a single mother with two young child.
“My mental health began to decline, with financial struggles and the usual pressures of raising two young children.”
Kiera attended Fitted for Works Job Preparation Hub where she worked on her resume and cover letter, as she had not had to update it in 25 years.
She also took part in our Online Outfitting service where she received a capsule wardrobe of beautiful work appropriate clothing. She was so impressed with the quality and fit of the clothing noting it gave her “that extra spring in [her] step”.
“I felt super confident after my Online Outfitting, when I was sent my parcel of beautiful new Country Road clothes, including a MIMCO bag, heels, jewellery, makeup and even a little bath bomb for my girls.“
After accessing our services Kiera was given the support and confidence that she needed to succeed in her job search and received two job offers!
