Terms & Conditions
The Love Letter to My Closet competition (Competition) is run by Fitted for Work Ltd ABN 78 126 256 862, of 513 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC 3178 a charity registered in Australia under the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission Act 2012 (Fitted for Work), contactable at marketing@fittedforwork.org. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Entry is Free
There is no fee to enter the Competition.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to individuals residing in Australia who are aged 18 years or older. Entrants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to enter.
Fitted for Work staff, board members, and volunteers and their immediate families may submit an entry but are not eligible to win prizes.
How to Enter
To enter the Competition, entrants must follow the procedure set out in these Terms and Conditions.
Entries can be submitted online at https://fittedforwork.org/love-letter-to-my-closet-2026 in the following formats:
Written (PDF, Word document, or typed directly into the entry form)
Video (MP4 or MOV)
Audio (MP3, M4A, or voice notes)
Image + Caption (JPEG or PNG accompanied by text)
Entrants may only submit one (1) entry. If multiple entries are submitted, they will be deemed invalid.
Submission Deadline
Entries open on 5pm 24th July 2026 AEST and all entries must be received by midnight Wednesday, 30 September 2026 AEST to be eligible. Entries submitted after this date will be deemed invalid.
Originality
Entries must be original work created by the entrant. By submitting an entry, you confirm that you hold the rights to your story and any accompanying media.
Use of Entries
Entrants retain the intellectual property rights of all materials entered, however by entering, entrants:
i)grant Fitted for Work permission to use the submission (including images, videos, or written/audio content) for promotional purposes, including on social media, digital platforms, and public communications;
ii) grant Fitted for Work a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, publish and distribute the submission;
iii) have the applicable rights in the entry to grant Fitted for Work the rights to publish the entry in Fitted for Work’s marketing materials (in print and/or electronically);
iv) indemnify Fitted for Work against all and any actions or claims or damages arising from unauthorised use of the entry (including infringement of intellectual property claims) that may be taken against Fitted for Work by the authorised persons. An entrant may also be asked to read their entry at the Love Letter to my Closet Event themselves or nominate someone to do so on their behalf.
Entrants may request to remain anonymous for promotions if preferred.
Judging & Prizes
Judging will take place between the 1st to the 5th of October 2026, and the winner will be announced at the Love Letter to my Closet event on 22 October 2026. The winner will be notified on 6 October 2026 so that arrangements can be made for the winner to attend the event. Eligible entries will be reviewed and assessed by a panel of judges appointed by Fitted for Work.
Entries will be judged based on the uniqueness and inventiveness of the entry, the imagination and artistic or conceptual merit demonstrated in the entry, the relevance to the theme and the overall effort and standard of the entry. The judges will apply the judging criteria consistently to all valid entries. No element of chance will be used at any stage to determine the winning entry, including as a tie breaker.
All decisions made by the judging panel are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Prizes are subject to availability and are not transferable or redeemable for cash and may be substituted for a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize becomes unavailable. Fitted for Work is not responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control if any element of any prize is not provided. The prizes do not include any other costs of a personal nature not stated. The prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated.
If the first-place winner primarily resides outside Victoria, travel via return economy class fares for the winner will be arranged and up to one night of accommodation provided to attend the event on 22 October 2026. All travel and accommodation arrangements will be determined by Fitted for Work in its discretion. The winner must be able to travel on the dates specified by Fitted for Work. Any costs not included here including without limitation transfers, meals, beverages, insurance etc are the sole responsibility of the winner. If the winner is unable or unwilling to attend the event on the date specified, the travel and accommodation component of the prize will be forfeited and no compensation will be payable.
Fitted for Work reserves the right to request proof of identity, proof of residency and proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the absolute discretion of Fitted for Work. If a winner(s) cannot provide suitable proof the winner(s) will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute prize will be offered.
Unclaimed Prizes and Disqualification
If the winning entrant can’t be contacted? Second place will take the first prize, third place will take second prize, and fourth place will take third prize and this process will be continued until the people collecting prizes have been contacted and confirmed.
An entrant must claim the prize within seven (7) days before the next winning entrant is contacted.
Fitted for Work reserves the right to disqualify any entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, if Fitted for Work reasonably suspects any unlawful or improper conduct, such as infringing a third party’s intellectual property rights, or for entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions. Fitted for Work will exercise this right fairly and consistently.
Personal Information
By entering this Competition, entrants consent to any personal information collected being used by Fitted for Work for the purpose(s), or directly related purpose(s), of conducting the Competition. Some information may also be used for Fitted for Work’s marketing promotions and retail activities.
All personal information collected will be dealt with in accordance with Fitted for Work’s Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and release
To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify Fitted for Work against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
This Competition is not in any way affiliated with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok or other social media platform. Entrants release and discharge any of these platforms from any liability arising from or in connection with the competition.
Fitted for Work accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entry cards or, for any technical malfunction of any communications network.
Fitted for Work reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition as appropriate.
